Discover the ideal New Jersey vacation and getaway for the moment

Idea #1: The southern end of Fort Lee Historic Park is the historic area. An auditorium and gift shop are located within the Visitor Center at Fort Lee Historic Park. A variety of special events are held at Fort Lee Historic Park seasonally and on weekends. Marches, a parade to Monument Park and Artillery Demonstrations are just some of the activities scheduled during annual Retreat Weekends at Fort Lee Historic Park.  Although picnicking and hiking are allowed at Fort Lee Historic Park, pets are not permitted.

Idea #2:  Garretson Forge and Farm is a charming and picturesque place to visit to learn about pre-revolutionary history in New Jersey. Today the restored house, buildings and gardens are part of a living history exhibit. The kitchen wing of the Garretson house represents the original, oldest part of the structure. Many special activities and events are held at Garretson Forge and Farm.

Certainly there are a lot of other attractions that you might want to see on an New Jersey vacation.  You might only be staying for a brief period of time, but you can enjoy and capture much of the rich art, heritage, and adventure that we have to offer.  You certainly will never be bored  – check out this New Jersey tourism video – there is always a new adventure waiting for you.
