Learn to Raise a German Shepherd
If you are thinking of adopting a German Shepherd puppy, it is important to know all that you can about the breed before making the decision. German shepherd puppies are easy to love because of their intelligence and their ease with training. A German Shepherd puppy is a classic breed that comes in a variety of coat colors. They have instinctive herding instincts and they are also very protective such as staying close to the children’s picnic table.
Care is needed when bringing up German Shepherd dogs because they tend to be aggressive and territorial when not properly socialized and trained. Starting when the dog is a puppy and continuing throughout adulthood, the dog should be groomed on a regular basis to prevent the shedding hair from accumulating throughout the home. If your German shepherd puppy is overaggressive, you must not delay training. If your puppy is overly aggressive and the situation seems unmanageable then you may have to remove the puppy from your home before it knocks down your favorite kid’s table and chairs.
To avoid this situation, make sure that the puppy has received socialization training before you bring it home and continue to provide socialization training to your puppy at home. Usual colors are black and tan, black and red, black and silver, black and cream, black and brown, liver and tan and blue and tan. They also have solid colors which are black and white. The use of rewards for compliance with commands is recommended, as German Shepherds tend to respond well to this method. This way our shepherd never tore up the playhouses for kids we bought. Never tug or otherwise create bad memories for the puppy that are associated with the harness or leash. Other pet owners, on the other hand, prefer white German Shepherd dogs because of their unique color.
Just do not let the puppy feel neglected or bored in the crate or else the puppy will not want to back into the crate. Before training is complete, a German Shepherd that is left alone for long periods of time will do things to amuse themselves, such as destroying pillows or damaging furniture. The differences may be in the body structure, size, colors and weight. German shepherd puppies are a handful but with the right preparation, your puppy will grow into a splendid addition to your household. Many German Shepherds have been documented to have saved the lives of their human families. German Shepherd dogs are not exceptions to this.
